Dartford Harriers Community Update
Our athletes just LOVE running! Even on their wedding day our members Wendy and Anthony couldn’t resist running with friends and fellow Hoops at Bexley parkrun on Saturday before heading off to get married 2pm the same day! Huge congratulations to the happy couple who both looked fabulous on their special day! ❤️❤️ Many congratulations to them both from our Hoop and parkrun communities! 🔵 National Relay Champs 2026 🔵 We had 3 teams selected for the National Relay Champs today in Birmingham and we couldn’t be prouder of them all. The following teams all ran a fantastic race against the best teams in the country. U16B 4x100m (Jeffrey, Eli, Caleb and Agbaraolorun) U18W 4x100m (Angel, Rebecca, Freya and Dara) U16G 4x300m (Mofiyin, Matilda, Gwen and Manroop) Being selected is a huge achievement and they all had a great day cheering each other on and soaking up the atmosphere. 🔵 SAL 2026 🔵 For the 2nd year running we finished 6th place in the Southern Athletics League (SAL) for division 2 (North and East). We couldn’t be prouder of our athletes who compete. We always bring the best team spirit to every match and our Hoops get stuck in supporting each other and the club! 📣 Huge thanks to all the officials, management teams, volunteers and coaches for all the support they give during the league. Definitely not how any of us expected the final YDL lower comp of the season to end. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt and everyone helped out where they could. We certainly didn’t imagine this is being the final event instead of the relays! 🌪️ Well done to all the athletes who managed to compete before we had to finish early. At least this is a match no one will forget! Huge thanks to all the officials, managers, coaches, volunteers, athletes and supporters who helped at this match and all others this season.
