Dartford Harriers Community Update
🔵 YDL Upper 2026 🔵 Sunday was the 2nd match of the YDL for the upper athletes at Medway. The weather was HOT but that didn’t stop our U18 and U20 athletes have a great day with many finishing in top 3 positions & gaining new PBs! 🔥 As always huge thanks to all the officials, volunteers, coaches, management and supporters who spent the day in the heat ensuring all the athletes could compete and be supported. 👏 Looking forward to the 3rd and final match at Sutcliffe 12th July. 🔵 Kent Championship 2026 🔵 Our athletes smashed it at the Kent Champs last weekend at Medway. We had many athletes compete for the 1st time, athletes gaining new SB/PBs and athletes winning 35 medals between them, 14 🥇, 12 🥈and 9 🥉! See comments for our medal winners. Our supporters as always were out in strength cheering them on and of course we had many of our members officiate and volunteer. 🤩 Huge congratulations to all who competed! 👏 Day 1 we held a minute silence to celebrate the life of John Askew and day two we held a minutes silence for David R Ralph. Both gave so much to the athletics communities and will be sadly missed. 🔵 SCVAC 2026 🔵 Last night was the 1st match of the SCVAC vets league at Sutcliffe. Our athletes had a great evening with many finishing in top 3 positions! 👏 Special well done to our men’s team who finished overall in 2nd place this match. 🙌 Our women finished 5th. Thank you to all the officials and volunteers as well as the coaches and supporters. We appreciate all the time and support you give our athletes. 😁 The next match will be 29th May at Norman Park.
