Dartford Harriers Community Update – 29/01/25
π΅ PB Awards π΅ We would like to thank one of our sponsors, Manak Solicitors, for their contribution to our PB Awards programme. The PB Awards by England Athletics in partnership with the Amateur Athletic Association, are a series of awards which celebrate athletes reaching new βpersonal bestsβ in all track and field events. There are nine levels of progression per age group and our athletes from U13s upwards can work towards achieving them. With Manak Solicitors sponsorship we were able to present all of our U13-U17 athletes with the award level they had achieved per event, some of whom are included in this post proudly showing their certificates! π€© This is a fantastic way to encourage them to train and push themselves to achieve new βpersonal bestsβ during competitions. Thank you Manak Solicitors for your continued support. Go Hoops! ππ©΅ ———————– See here for the original post on Facebook.

π΅ Summer of Sport π΅ Last year one of our sponsors, Dartford Borough Council, generously gave us a grant to invest in young children within our community. We used the money to set up a programme to invite local children who are not currently club members to train at our facilities. They trained with our coaches and alongside current young athletes from both Dartford Harriers AC and Central Park Athletics. This opportunity was hugely successful and we are hopeful to run this, or similar, again. The children taking part got to participate in long jump, high jump, shot put, running of various distances as well as learning the correct way to warm up and cool down.
