Dartford Harriers Community Update
🔵 DHAC Open Meeting and KCAA 3k and 10k Championships 🔵 Tonight we held our Open Meeting alongside the KCAA 3k and 10k Championships. We will share updates and photos in the coming days but we can’t hold off celebrating Warwick Dixon, from Cambridge Harriers, breaking the Shot Put British Record for his category! 🇬🇧 Round one he broke the record with 7.04m, then in the third round threw 7.24m! 🤩 At a young age of 90, Warwick is a throwing legend! ———————– See here for the original post on Facebook.

🔵 Parkrun Tourism – May 🔵 May was another busy month for our parkrunners. The furthest one visited was Poppintree in Dublin! 🧡🇮🇪 Special well done to young Haydon who completed his 1st parkrun! 🔵 Joydens Wood 5k Summer Series 🔵 The annual Joydens Wood 5k Summer Series organised by Dartford Road Runners kicked off recently. 148 runners took part in the 1st race including 6 of our athletes. This is a great run and always well supported with amazing marshals who encourage everyone to keep going. Our athletes all completed in fantastic times! Shaw – 4th in 18:17 Stuart – 8th in 19:30 Abbie – 12th in 20:32 (2nd female) Matilda – 16th in 21:10 (3rd female) Jasper – 22nd in 21:58 Andrew – 58th in 25:01 The next races in the series will be 25th June and 30th July. Please sign up to our Open asap as spaces are very limited, some events have already sold out. Open Meeting Entry – 11th June Our Open coincides with the KCAA 3k and 10k Championships.
