Achieved 71.39 m throw with 5k hammer at Bedford International Games 10th on U17M UK all-time list, and secured selection for GB Team for U18 European Championships in Jerusalem, where he made the final

5th U15 in the UK for hammer last year

In debut year as F35, finished the season ranked 4th & 7th nationally for hammer & discus, 11th & 12th at 100m & 200, 13th & 19th in the high & long jump

Ended 2022 season 9th in the country with a personal best of 49.18m in the Hammer Club record holder for Hammer and Shotput for both U17 & U15 Started athletics aged seven, and been inspired to study sport science in the future

2022 U17 British Champion & ETC Throw Fest Champion with discus throws of 55.70m & 56.43m (Top 10 UK all-time ranking)

Twice English Schools National Champion with a 42.45m discus PB as an U15
Javelin Throw

Threw a PB of 56.06m in 2022 and then went on to win Varsity for Oxford University AC later in the year

Introducing some of our Coaches

Paul is a Level 3 Throws Coach, with Level 2 Jumps qualification, currently employed by England Athletics as Technical Excellence Lead for Hammer, and Youth Talent Programme Lead for South of England.
He has a group of 24 athletes from 11 to 56 years old, from beginners to seasoned internationals and looks after technical throws skills, general athleticism, plyometrics, weight/strength training, and periodisation at various levels.
His aim is to see a GB hammer thrower at all age group major championships, from U18, U20, U23 and Senior levels, both men and women
has coached young children from 12-13 years of age at a beginner level, teenagers who have gone onto win English schools and national titles, senior adults and masters that have achieved world success for GB. Currently his group includes U15 through to masters category.

Julie has formal qualifications in Sports Science (BSc) and qualified as an Athletics Coach, Sports Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer
Julie is a specialist in throws, sprints, jumps with a focus on developing power, and currently leads on shot and discus coaching.
As an athlete, Julie was a GB international in Shot Put, GB bobsledder at World Champs and World Cup, Britain’s Strongest Women twice, 4th in World’s Strongest Woman, and former British record-holder for Bench Press.
