High Jump

Joined the club, aged 5 and now a competing U13 athlete in high jump, pentathlon, sprint & relay, with silver medals in the 4x100m & 4x 200m Kent relays and 4th in Kent U13 pentathlon

10 years in a row #1 in the country in her age group for at least one of her specialist events - pole vault, triple, long & high jump

Last year British Champs High Jump winner and 3rd in Triple Jump. Also represented GB twice in an Interland Championships (against France, Germany and Belgium) at 100/200/LJ
Pole Vault

Won several medals, including 4 gold county medals and 2 silvers at the nationals since starting pole vaulting less than two years ago - most recent silver was also new PB of 3.80m

Pole vaulted 4.52m and earned silver medals at the England U20 Championships and English Schools’ Championships last year

Currently number one pole vaulter in the UK (U13) with new personal best of 2.20m Zoya was proud to break two metre barrier (2.05m) at her second competition last year, earning her spot in the Power of 10 rankings after just a few months of training with coach Gordon Lillis
Long and Triple Jump

6th and 4th in long jump at recent national and southern indoor champs, recent new personal bests in the Long Jump (6.63m) and 60m (7.20s), and part of our medal-winning Kent relays team

10 years in a row #1 in the country in her age group for at least one of her specialist events - pole vault, triple, long & high jump

Held the number one spot for under 15 girls in England in 2022 for long jump and triple jump, the latter also achieving 10th U15 girl of all time with a jump of 11.42m Won the South of England pentathlon with a score of 3037 and won the gold at English Schools for long jump (PB 5.58m)

Ranked 9th best all time indoor Triple Jumper in the U15 age group

Trevor is a Level 4 Jumps Coach who started coaching in 1985, and after 5 years of studying and coaching, finally qualifying as a Senior Coach in 1990. He has experience coaching at all levels from under 13 / novice to seniors at international level.
Trevor also maintains club records for the club and updates them when broken.
During a young pole vault athlete’s career, Gordon looks to develop their speed, strength, mental focus, technical knowledge and mechanical skills, so that they can compete successfully at club, county and national level.
He was previously involved in the National Development Group Programme for pole vault, and has given flying coach visits and master classes.
Athletes coached by Gordon, have gone onto win English Schools and national titles, and world success for Great Britain.
Gary has been coaching since the early 90’s and has a wealth of knowledge to pass on to athletes. He is qualified as UKA Level 3 Coach in Jumps, Sprints & Throws, and he still competes himself, mainly in jump and sprints.
Other qualifications and roles include: Level 3 Field Judge, Level 2 Track judge Level 1 Starter & Level 1 Endurance
In addition, Gary is also the club Equipment Officer. Outside of Dartford Harriers he is a KCAA Executive Member and Officer for Track and Field, and Sports Hall athletics.
